A General’s Honour, directed by Joanna Pieciukiewicz, is a dramatic story about General Stanisław Sosabowski and his Brigade – the Polish 1st Independent Parachute Brigade, the forgotten heroes of the Market Garden operation during World War II. General Stanisław Sosabowski seems to be closer to Dutchmen than to young Poles. It was the Dutch who rehabilitated his reputation as well as that of his Brigade. What efforts did this take? The film answers the question in detail.

Opening speeches by Jerzy Buzek MEP, President of the European Parliament, Jacek Saryusz-Wolski, Head of the Polish Delegation on the EPP Group, and Wim van de Camp MEP, Head of the Dutch Delegation of the EPP Group.

Special guests include: Joanna Pieciukiewicz, Director of the documentary, Dr Hal Sosabowski, Member of the Sosabowski family, and Eric van Tilbeurgh, expert on the 1st Polish Independent Parachute Brigade.

The documentary is in Polish with English subtitles.
