Journalist. As a journalist she worked:

  • for the Dutch daily De Volkskrant covering the transformation of Poland to a democracy and a market economy
  • as a foreign correspondent based in The Hague for the Polish quality newspaper Rzeczpospolita.

Awards. In 2012 she received a Polish press award for a foreign journalist. In 2015 she was awarded with the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland (watch video in English).

Corporate. She worked for a Dutch banking and financial multinational ING Group as an editor responsible for a Polish language edition of ING matters – a digital magazine for employees worldwide.

Interests. Her interests include: politics, social change in Poland and The Netherlands, labour migration from Poland and integration into Dutch society.

Current projects. Currently she is working on a book on EU-labourmigration to the Netherlands and on a  podcast in Dutch on this subject

Expert in the media. Małgorzata is regularly invited to comment in Dutch media on political issues in Poland and and specifically on Polish labour migration in The Netherlands, while in Polish media she comments Dutch news events.

She also shares her opinion in op-eds published in Polish media and Dutch newspapers De Volkskrant, NRC Handelsblad, and is commenting news for Dutch public broadcaster NOS
