In 2004 the Netherlands was after France the biggest foreign
investor in Poland with accumulated investments of USD 11.2
billion. The total FDI’s invested in Poland till 2004 reached the
value of USD 80.6 billion USD, according to the Polish Information
and Foreign Investment Agency.

FACTS FDI’s 2004 in POLAND (PAIiIZ data):

• In 2004 the Netherlands was after France (USD 16 billion) the
biggest foreign investor in Poland with accumulated investments of USD 11.2 billion.

• The total FDI’s invested in Poland till 2004 reached the value of USD 80.6 billion.

• In 2004 total FDI in Poland were up by 23% to USD 7.86 billion. It was the highest inflow over the last four years (in 2000 – USD 10.6 billion and in 2003 – USD 6.4 billion).

• The highest inflow in 2004 came from French investors USD 1.5
billion, followed by USA and Germany and Netherlands with nearly USD 1 billion.

• In 2004 greenfield investments constituted 58%, acquisitions 25% and privatization 17%.

• Foreign investors created almost 15,000 new jobs.

• The PAIiIZ Agency recorded an increasing interest of Asian investors form Korea and Japan.
